The Pirates are committed to the development of the World Game being played indoors in the form of Futsal. The Bayside Pirates Futsal Club's mantra is Futsal for Futsal. The Club recognises Futsal as a sport within it's own right and as such, the sole purpose of the Club is to develop players for Futsal. The club is not a Football Academy who dabbles in Futsal or who uses Futsal as a means to developing footballers. Futsal is not an "Off Season Sport" any more, as Futsal has it's own structure and is played 12 months of the year. The club has programs for junior boys, girls and has senior mens and womens teams that compete in various tournaments and leagues throughout Australia.
The club is a registered Football Federation Australia (FFA) Futsal Club and is affiliated to Football Victoria (FV) and participates in FV organised competitions and tournaments. All players who join the Bayside Pirates will be a registered FFA Futsal player. We adhere to FIFA's Futsal Rules of the Game and other directives from FFA and FV.
The club provides a safe and professional environment for children to play in, as we want all players to enjoy the game and have fun. Our players in our Age Group Squads and Sub Junior Academy are taught the principles of Futsal and our syllabus is closely aligned to Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) coaching curriculum. All of the Club's Coaches have Working with Children Checks and have as a minimum, FFA Futsal Community Coaching Licences.
The Pirates have a zero tolerance to violent conduct, whether it be physical or verbal, from either players, parents or other family members. All players must adhere to our Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions of being a member of the Club.
The club's venue is at Cheltenham Secondary College, Bernard Street, Cheltenham.
